Cokie Roberts Speaks at Commencement
Cokie Roberts, political reporter and analyst, speaks at Wheaton’s 171st Commencement. She was also awarded an honorary degree. Her speech details the influx of marginalized people in political institutions and the relevance of a liberal arts education in public service. Roberts’ speech references three Wheaton alumnae she knows and admires: Patrica King; Leslie Stahl; and Anne Dyer, the headmistress of her high school.
