The Balanced Curriculum
Wheaton develops the “balanced curriculum,” a pioneering effort to revise the introductory curriculum to reflect a gender-balanced view of human experience. This three-year curriculum development project culminated in a conference at Wheaton College in June of 1983 and combined the theoretical aspects of integrating women’s studies with more practical tools such as bibliographies, course descriptions and guidelines.
