Abram T. Collier Speaks at Commencement
Abram T. Collier, Chairman of the Wheaton Board of Trustees, speaks at Wheaton’s 130th commencement. Collier was greatly involved in Boston politics and a member of numerous corporate boards. Collier’s speech emphasizes each graduate’s potential following graduation. Addressing the Class of 1965, he says, “Women can, and I am sure increasingly will, play significant roles in our local and national political life, not as women but as mature citizens with a feeling of concern for the nation of which they are a part.”
