Carlton Russell Records Wheaton Hymn and Anthem

Wheaton traditions live on in the memories of generations of students and faculty. Traditions are recalled by the curve of the Dimple, the graceful architecture of Mary Lyon Hall and, for many, by the simple presence of the chapel. The site marks rites of passage for every Wheaton student. Contemplating the chapel means remembering “A Wheaton Hymn” and, for more recent graduates, “A Wheaton Anthem” by Carlton T. Russell.

Professor Russell recorded both pieces playing the Wheaton Chapel Organ on his 1999 album, With Grateful Gladness.
