Jeannette Kittredge Watson, Honorary Degree Recipient

Jeannette Kittredge Watson 1902, wife of Thomas J. Watson, Sr., the founder of International Business Machines (IBM), mother of four children, including Thomas J. Watson, Jr., and member of IBM’s board of directors for many years, is awarded an honorary degree.

Mrs. Watson donated the funds to make the construction of Watson Fine Arts Center possible. It was named in her honor in 1962.
