Knapton Presents on Napoleon at Conference on Elba
Professor of history, Ernest John Knapton, is the only American invited to the Third International Congress of Napoleonic Studies at Portoferraio, Elba, to commemorate the bicentennial of Napoleon’s birth. He presents a paper entitled “American Historical Writing on Napoleon in the Twentieth Century,” for which Wheaton history major Susan Aviano Hall, class of 1970, did much of the bibliographic work.
